Gwadar: Government offers talks, Baloch Solidarity Committee demands release of leaders

The Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Balochistan Province has on Monday invited the protesters in Gwadar for talks, to which the Baloch Solidarity Committee says that the government talks about talks and also ‘firing’.

Biberg Baloch while talking to Independent Urdu said that ‘on one side there is talk of negotiations and on the other side firing is done on peaceful protests.’

“Today the protest was raided and all our top leadership has been detained,” he said.

According to the leader of the Baloch Solidarity Committee, Biberg Baloch, several leaders including Sami Deen Baloch and Dr. Sibghatullah Shah have been detained.

He said that ‘this sit-in will continue and protests will also be held at different places in Balochistan, until our comrades are released.’

Baberg Baloch also alleged that they are not being given access to ‘hospitals due to which they are not able to know the number of injured or dead.’

Earlier, the Pakistan Army also said regarding the ongoing protest in Gwadar district of Balochistan province on Monday that ‘the violent actions of the mob are unacceptable and those responsible will be brought to justice.’
