Within the framework of the 15th Fiap Asofunds Congress that takes place in Cartagena, it was confirmed that the presidential candidate Gustavo Petro will not be present at the debate scheduled for this Friday at the event.
In the panel “The presidential candidates present their vision of the future pension in Colombia”, which will take place at 10:45 in the morning, Petro was one of the most anticipated due to the proposals he makes in this matter.
Asked regarding the absence of the candidate, the president of Asofondos, Santiago Montenegro, regretted the decision and assured that “We invited Dr. Petro, and we reiterated the invitation, as we did four years ago, and unfortunately he did not come”.
In addition to Gustavo Petro, the other candidate who will not attend the debate is former Governor Luis Pérez, all the others are confirmed: Ingrid Betancourt, Sergio Fajardo, Enrique Gómez, Federico Gutiérrez, Rodolfo Hernández and John Milton Rodríguez.
This, in the middle of the aforementioned Asofondos event, where these days experts analyze the situation of the pension system in Colombia and where it should go.
It is worth mentioning that Petro is one of the candidates for the presidency whose proposals regarding the old-age protection system have sounded the most due to the revolution that he proposes.
