Rejection caused among Colombians a video that became popular on the night of March 20, which shows the moment in which a group of hooded men broke into a mass held in the Primate Cathedral of Bogotá, with the aim, apparently, to protest once morest sensitive issues related to the Catholic faith, such as pedophilia and the anti-abortion position taken by this religion.
“When they bless rifles and crown the Virgin”shouted one of the demonstrators who refused, along with his accomplices, to leave the place despite the fact that the Cathedral’s security body asked him to do so.
Total rejection of this incursion of vandals into the Primate Cathedral of Bogotá with obvious political ends. It is a disrespect to the FAITH, religious freedom and the beliefs of millions in the country. We will not allow them to violate places of worship.

Several political groups came out to criticize the Colombian left, which they consider responsible for these acts of intimidation and vandalism in society.
One of the characters who implied that this protest was part of the political agenda of the left was former president Álvaro Uribe, who, without saying that Gustavo Petro is to blame for what happened, did assure that In the event that the candidate of the Historical Pact wins the Presidency of Colombia, this will be the reality that the country will have to see during his administration.
“In a Petro government there will be no venue or place that they respect,” wrote the leader of the Democratic Center on his Twitter account.
Several uribistas have the same thought, some even accusing members of the Petrismo of not only planning this outrageous act in the main Catholic church of Bogotá, but also of actively participating in its execution.
An example of this are the accusations that have been developed once morest the senator of Human Colombia, who they have said was involved at the time the hooded men interrupted the mass.
In a photograph that circulates on the internet, the presence of a man is evident who, although it is not known if he is Bolívar, does bear a slight resemblance to him. “The bandit of Inhuman Colombia Gustavo Bolívar is no longer afraid of anything. He participated in the filth that was seen in our beloved Primate Cathedral, ”wrote an Internet user in relation to the alleged responsibility of the congressman in this reprehensible scene.
Given this reality, Bolívar himself had to react on social networks, assuring that the accusations once morest him were an outrage. “I wanted to rest over the weekend to recharge my batteries for the #PetroPresidenteEnPrimera campaign and I mightn’t”he wrote on Twitter.
Later he indicated that “today (March 20) they said that I was sabotaging the mass in the Primada Cathedral”, which he denied with a resounding “Ya fagots!”, which denotes the indignation that people are involving him in supposed criminal acts in the country.
Likewise, he recalled that on March 18 also “a crazy woman said that my sister worked in the Registrar’s Office.” In the complaint made by the woman, it is mentioned that Bolívar supposedly has family ties in this entity, which might have served to accommodate some votes to the Historical Pact, following the legislative elections of March 13, and in this way obtain more seats in the Congress of the Republic. Bolívar also denied this accusation.
I wanted to rest the weekend to recharge forces for the campaign #PetroPresidenteEnPrimera and I might not!

The Archdiocese of Bogotá confirmed this Monday the veracity of the video that is circulating on social networks, assuring that “a group of people interrupted the sacred celebration at the end of it, with harangues and shouts once morest the Church and the State.”
He also explained that “The staff of the Cathedral and officers of the National Police took charge of the situation and took these people to the outside of the templewithout any type of violence or acts of vandalism being presented.
Then he added: “The Church invites us to seek the appropriate settings so that all people can be heard and also to respect the rights of all, including the right to profess a religion and perform acts of worship in peace and harmony.”
