Personal relationships with currently around 50 local producers and a sophisticated logistics process allow gurkerl.at, Vienna’s largest online supermarket, to deliver in record time – from the field to the customer’s doorstep in seven hours.
In addition to a short delivery time, gurkerl.at also attaches great importance to fairness in the close relationship with the suppliers. “We attach great importance to working together at eye level and personal contact with our producers. That’s why we like to visit our partners often – this way we get a good feeling for the needs of the producers and the quality of their products,” says Marcus Schlich, Commercial Director of gurkerl.at.
Variety from the region – directly from the farm
In order to be able to offer the largest possible share of Austrian products in the overall range, gurkerl.at has focused on supporting local companies, farmers and producers close to the gurkerl.at distribution centers from the very beginning. Flexibility plays a major role here.

Freshly harvested through logistics optimization
The close cooperation with the regional companies eliminates middlemen – the goods come directly from the farm to the customer via the company’s own fulfillment center. This saves money, time and emissions. This enables the online supermarket to offer regional and fresh food at prices comparable to those of large producers. Farmers’ market to order online with around 50 regional businesses
