Jeddah: Gulf media’s first ‘Soccer Carnival 2022’ sevens football tournament has concluded, much loved by football lovers in Jeddah. In the senior category, Al-Hazmi FC defeated Memories Travel BFC by two goals without reply. Amigos Jeddah also won the junior category by defeating JSC by three goals to one.
Jeddah Matar Gadim Sababiya Flood Light Stadium witnessed exciting matches. The tournament was inaugurated by Indian Consul General Jeddah Muhammad Shahid Alam. 12 teams competed in the tournament for Eqability Winners Cup and Prize Money, Al-Hazmi International Runners Cup and Prize Money in Senior Category and Al-Hazmi International Winners Cup and Prize Money in Junior Category, Eqibility Runners Cup and Prize Money.
Al-Hazmi FC and Memories Travel BFC final match in the senior side, Al-Hazmi’s leading player Aslam netted both goals for the team in the 5th and 12th minutes of the game. Aslam was also the man of the match in the final. Fazal of Memories Travel BFC team and Sudheesh of Al-Hazmi FC were selected as the best goalkeeper in the senior category.
In the final match between JSC and Amigos Jeddah teams in the junior category, both teams played well but the victory went to Amigos Jeddah. Mishal of the Amigos Jeddah team was selected as the man of the match in the final.
From this category, Muad of Amigos Jeddah won the best goalkeeper award and Dushyant of Yes team won the best player award.
Trophy for Junior Winners Indian Consul General Muhammad Shahid Alum and Cash Prize Al-Hazmi Managing Director P.T. Usman, Manager Jamsheer Ali and Runners Trophy Jeddah National Hospital Managing Director V.P. Muhammadali and Cash Price Equity Asst. Manager Basheer Nelladan and Supervisor Fazal also distributed.
The trophy for senior winners was distributed by Managing Director Equity Hashir and Cash Prize Equity Assistant Manager Basheer Nellatan and the runners trophy and cash prize were distributed by Al-Hazmi Managers Abdul Rasheed and Jamsheer Ali respectively.
