The Iraqi national team advanced through Ibrahim Baish in the 30th minute, before Aso Rustam added the second goal in the 88th minute.

The Iraqi national team outperformed its Saudi counterpart, with two goals to none, 2-0, yesterday, Monday, in the second round of the first group of the Gulf Football Championship, which is currently being held in Basra, Iraq.

The Iraqi team advanced through the player Ibrahim Baish in the 30th minute, before Aso Rustam added the second goal in the 88th minute, raising its score to 4 points at the top of the group, with a goal difference from the second-placed Oman team.

On the other hand, the balance of the Saudi team froze at 3 points in third place, while the Yemen team ranked at the bottom of the group standings without a balance of points.

The Iraqi national team will meet its Yemeni counterpart next Thursday, while the Saudi national team will play its Omani counterpart on the same day in the third round of the first group.
