‘Gul Ustad’ who convert old cars into racers and camper vans

A mechanic named Gul Ustad in Quetta modifies old vehicles to make them into racers, campers or hunting vans on the demand of his customers.

These vehicles are prepared by the enthusiasts for their needs and hobbies, such as picnics and hunting.

In Vehicles in the kitchen, The fridgewash basin, gas heater, storage space and water tank along with sleeping space for people.

Gul Ustad told Independent Urdu that room, washroom, kitchen and other such luxuries in modified vehicles are among the preferences of most of the people.

Gul Ustad said that ‘I often make land cruisers, jeeps, hunting vehicles, racing vehicles. I also make Land Cruiser, Camper vehicle. A camping car, which has room on the roof, is what we often build on this vehicle.’

He says, ‘I learned from the online YouTube channel. I have learned this from my hobby. This is how every car is different. One lakh rupees to 20 lakhs are also spent on vehicles.’

Gul Ustad said that they have 10 workers working with them in repairing and decorating these vehicles and their work is also valid from the legal point of view because they do not make any dangerous thing in the vehicles that can cause harm to humans.

Gul Ustad says that they are not limited to the citizens of Quetta, but people from far-flung areas of Balochistan come to them. His business has become so popular and loved that people from Dubai, Qatar and London contact him and learn the work.

Also having his car done in the same workshop is Jamal Tarkai, who wants to convert his car into a camper van.

He told Independent Urdu that ‘This room of mine is being built which is also called Camper. It’s for sightseeing.’ This vehicle has a kitchen, water storage space and will also have a bathroom.
