Guitarist Beto Lefevre debuts Alien Guitar show

Brazilian guitarist and music producer Beto Lefevre just announced the international tour Alien Guitar 2025which should tour several European countries next year. The musician performed three shows in São Paulo (SP) as a pre-launch for the tour in July and August, at the Instituto Cultural Bolivia Rock, Manifesto Bar and Café Piu Piu, where he shared the stage with the band Almanak.

Beto Lefevre will perform a series of performances at festivals, nightclubs and embassies in countries such as Portugal, France, Germany and England, with the tour Alien Guitar 2025 in a show lasting 20 to 30 minutes, with the performance being done in the shoes of the alien guitarist Order Setun Shenar.

The show mixes electronic music and rock, in a performance that includes elements such as lights coming from the guitar, in a spatial and futuristic look – which was developed by the artist himself. With the band, the guitarist leads performances lasting 50 to 70 minutes, playing songs by Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Dire Straits, ZZ Top and film themes.

Beto Lefevre reveals that “Light Guitar” is a different instrument that emits lights when played, following the musician’s fingers, thus creating a look synchronized with the music being played, bringing the entire concept of the show around this guitar. From the lighting, the choice of repertoire, to the way the musician plays the instrument.

The music producer says that the Guitarra Luz was ordered especially for this show, and took around 1 and a half years to build. “The engineering work involved was intense so that the instrument was capable of following my demands”, he explains.

How did it all start?

Beto Lefevre He graduated from the Los Angeles College of Music and initially took guitar lessons with several teachers and classical piano lessons with his great aunt, the concert artist Clarice Leite, mother of the “Mutantes” Arnaldo Baptista and Sérgio Dias.

The artist’s first job was at the age of 19, as a sub for guitarist Olmir Stocker, better known as Alemão, in Gallery Big Band. In the 1990s, he was part of the band “Mandabala”, by Zeca Baleiro, with whom he recorded the albums “Por Onde Andará Stephen Fry?” and “Vô Imbolá by MZA-POLYGRAM”, nominated for a Latin Grammy in the best Brazilian album of the year category. With the band, he toured throughout Brazil and Europe.

From the 2000s onwards, Beto Lefevre He began dedicating himself to music production, recording new generation bands and artists in his own studio in the capital of São Paulo. In addition, he developed his own work as a guitarist, songwriter and soundtrack composer.

As a music producer and guitarist, he develops work such as recording, music production, soundtracks and sound designer in his studio for singers, artists and composers, among others. “I also accompany bands and singers, and I direct music”, he explains.

In 2014, the Brazilian musician went to Los Angeles, USA, where he lived for almost two years. He graduated in Music Production (Music Production and Recording) from the Los Angeles College Of Music and had the opportunity to learn from big names in international music such as Andrew Murdock (Godsmack, Alice Cooper, Linkin Park), Andre Knecht (Warner Bros. Records) , Mark Browne (George Michael, Sheryl Crow, Cindy Lauper), drummer Tony Inzalaco (Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Dexter Gordon), and guitarists Jody Fisher, Bill Fowller and Ken Song.

In 2015, Beto Lefevre returned to São Paulo, where he resumed old partnerships and projects, including Ultra Aliens Band, an alien-themed band, founded by composer and musical partner, Mack Alien. “Then came the idea of ​​putting on a solo show.”Alien Guitar‘ with guitarist Sétun Shenar and his Guitarra Luz”, he explains. “The project is a tribute to the great guitar icons and science fiction films, inserting music into the current universe of space travel, making people, in a playful way, reflect on the existence of extraterrestrial life, and the infinite possibilities of exploration space”, he adds.

“A mix of classic and modern, where I use elements of rock, electronic music and techno, bringing a spatial and futuristic look, and providing a show where it is possible to dance and have fun. For those who like rock, the dance floor and aliens, it’s a total abduction”, says Lefevre. “Today, I analyze several proposals from various countries, giving preference to the European region, which is my focus now. I will soon release international tour dates. Alien Guitar 2025 na Europa”, he concludes.
