According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the tongue is 12.7 cm long, longer than a can of soft drink.

Zoey the dog has the longest tongue in the world.

Zoey is a cross between a Labrador and a German Shepherd. It was awarded the Guinness World Record for having the longest tongue after a veterinarian measured its tongue. The previous record belonged to the Bisbee dog with a tongue about 9.49 cm long.

Zoey’s owners are Sadie and Drew Williams. They adopted this dog when he was only 6 weeks old. As a child, Zoey’s tongue would often stick out of her mouth.
