It is obvious. Despite the tireless efforts made by the transitional authorities through the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, the Guinean market is demanding more and more fish products with each passing day.
It must be recognized and made known immediately, since her appointment, the Minister of Fisheries and the Digital Economy Charlotte Daffé has taken decisions that have a positive impact on the sector, which has been under political management for more than three decades.
Indeed, in order to lighten the basket of the housewife as advocated by the president of the transition, president of the CNRD, colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, the minister Charlotte Daffé decided to prohibit until April 22 of this year , the export of fishery products. This decision made it possible to supply the national market with fish, in abundance. And the fishing companies run by Guineans contribute greatly to the achievement of this noble objective. It is therefore beneficial for the locals to grant these companies operating licenses. In this lot, two gigantic boats stand out. It is precisely regarding BOYAN 17 and BO YUAN 18, operating under the supervision of Thiangui fishing, a company which has nothing more to demonstrate on its capacities in this field in the Republic of Guinea, with its more than 20 years of experience. .
These fishing vessels developed thanks to a local workforce, mostly Guineans, dump 25,000 boxes each, which is more than enough for the Guinean market.
Also, these boats, which do not operate in breeding waters, use a quality of net that does not allow them to catch small fish.
“These two vessels do not fish in the breeding area, which is not the case for its competitors. Even when we observe biological rest, these two vessels have the possibility of fishing because they go beyond the zone of biological rest. These vessels go in search of migrating fish for which, if they are not caught, they will go elsewhere, that is to say, in waters that are in no way Guinean. told our editors, a specialist in the field of fishing who adds that “The two boats in Guinea are going where the others (competitors) don’t have the opportunity to go. BO YUAN 17 and 18 have no competitor in the fisheries sector in Guinea »he points out.
Allowing these boats to practice fishing in strict compliance with the legal provisions in force in Guinea will only benefit the population. Without forgetting the jobs created in this sector which needs renewal more than ever in a context of refoundation so desired and demanded by the president of the transition.
