The statutory members of the Guinean Football Federation voted on the new statutes of feguifoot on Saturday July 22, 2023 in Conakry. Thus, they put an end to the squabbles of positioning within the corporation. Asked regarding the subject this Monday, July 24, 2023, the president of the Standardization Committee (Conor) believes that these new statutes officially announce the end of the crisis in Guinean football.

“We cannot continue in conflicts that do not end. There were a lot of negotiations at this level in the end. The sporting world has understood that we are wasting time and that it is time to stop and continue the path so that Guinean football can get out of this situation. You know, you can’t do anything in division, in hatred, in disunity you can’t do anything else. Imagine that we easily accepted everything we said so in 18 months we might have finished the Conor in 6 months why because the dialogue was refused. So we should be able to put ourselves above all. I was chosen as president of Conor to carry out my own work, I was chosen outside the sporting world because Fifa felt that it was not my world and that I might work independently and that’s what I did. This must have shocked some people because sometimes I was tough and I had to because I had come to normalize and you can’t please everyone by normalizing. This is why I apologize to all those who felt offended, but it was for a good cause,” explained Mariama Diallo Sy.

Talking regarding the candidacy for the presidency of the Guinean football federation, Mariam Diallo Sy affirms that it will be held in a short time.

“We’ve wasted a lot of time, we’re going to put the electoral commission in very soon and the elections are going to be bottom-up. We are going to renew the Guinean sports world. It is extremely important. I commit myself and I ask all those who are interested in the sport to prepare because we are going to start with the districts inside the country, we want a new generation of young men and women who are going to be interested in this sport for the development and the reputation of the country. Guinea must be ready and for that, the federations must come out, “she said to our colleagues at Fim fm.
