Jean Paul Cedy, Minister of Pre-University Education and Literacy, announced Classes will resume in the 2024-2025 school yearscheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2024. The decision, communicated on Sunday, September 1, is intended to ensure an orderly and peaceful return to school across the country.
To ensure optimal preparation, administration will begin on Monday 16 September 2024. During this period, schools can complete the necessary preparations before students arrive.
The Ministry recalled that the registration fee and re-registration fee for private schools are capped at GNF150,000 and GNF100,000 respectively, as per a notification dated August 30, 2022. The education authorities will ensure strict compliance with these directives to avoid any deviation.
The Ministry calls for the cooperation of all stakeholders in the education sector, including parents, teachers and local authorities, to make the return to school a success.
