2. The aim of i’tikaaf is to revive the days and nights of the holy month with a lot of prayer, night prayers, performing tahajjud prayers, dhikr, supplication, reading the Qur’an and listening to the lessons of knowledge.

3. The performance of any preaching lessons or thoughts is an exclusive process only for the imam of the mosque or whoever is assigned by the endowment to do so in an official written letter addressed to the imam of the mosque.

4. It is strictly forbidden to distribute any books, publications, magazines, pamphlets, etc. during i’tikaaf, and viewing is for whoever wants to in the mosque’s library if there is a library, otherwise, prayer, remembrance, supplication, reading the Qur’an and listening to the lessons of knowledge.

5. It is strictly forbidden to photograph or broadcast any pictures of those in i’tikaaf out of respect for personal privacy.

6. The use of the telephone shall be limited to the utmost necessity in order to achieve the purpose of i’tikaf in devoting oneself to obedience and worship.

7. Those who wish to perform i’tikaf must register their name with the imam of the mosque

8. Priority for the mosque’s visitors and the people of the area and the neighborhood surrounding the mosque.

9. The imam of the mosque must take into account the capacity of the place for the i’tikaaf, in a way that provides them with the appropriate atmosphere for i’tikaaf.

10. Considering giving priority to mosque visitors and residents of its geographical vicinity.

11. The priority of registration is taken into account, and all imams must coordinate with the departments and directorates to which they are affiliated in this regard.

12. All inspectors and directors of departments and directorates must follow up on all the affairs of the i’tikaaf starting from registering the seclusion to the completion of the seclusion process, each in his own jurisdiction.
