This year, 15.4 million guest overnight stays were recorded in Vienna from January to November, an increase of 32 percent year-on-year. With 231,000 overnight stays (plus 23 percent), Germany tops the list ahead of Austria (284,000, plus 14 percent) and the USA (79,000, plus 23 percent). There was a massive decline in guests from Israel; the federal capital recorded a decline of 85 percent with 5,000 overnight stays.
In November, around 73,000 hotel beds were available in Vienna – that was 5,400 more beds than were offered in November 2022, according to Vienna Tourism in a press release on Wednesday.
