Guernsey, Maine and Bahamas: the government added to the list of countries and territories unfriendly to Russia

The islands of Guernsey, Maine and the Bahamas were included in the list of states and territories unfriendly to Russia, in respect of which retaliatory economic measures are in force. Message about it published July 24 on the government website.

Guernsey and Maine were blacklisted by the Russian Cabinet of Ministers due to support for anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the UK, and the Bahamas – for imposing a ban on any transactions with the Central Bank, the Russian Ministry of Finance and a number of banks.

The list previously included 27 EU states, the US and Canada, the UK (including controlled territories), Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Albania, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, North Macedonia, Japan, South Korea, Australia , Micronesia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.
