For the sixth time in history, and for the fifth consecutive time, the selection of Guatemala will participate in a World Cup indoor soccer, and the edition of 2024 will take place in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6.
The bicolor is located in Group F along with its similar ones from France, Iran y Venezuela; where the blue and white team will seek to achieve two victories in the first phase, something they have not achieved since the 2008 edition of Brazil.
Guatemala never has managed to get past the first round of the competition, and its best performance was in 2008, when the groups were made up of five teams and they managed to finish in third position, four points behind second place.
Since the World Cup in Brazil, the national team has only achieved one victory in each participation, except for the edition in Colombia 2016where the Guatemalan team was defeated in all three of its matches.
When and at what time does the bicolor play?
The first match for the blue and white will be Monday, September 16 at 9 o’clock in Guatemala against the national team France at the Universal Sports Complex located in the city of Bukhara.
Later, the second commitment will be the Thursday, September 19 at 6.30 am in Guatemala against the national team Iranand the match will be held at the same sports venue in the fifth most populous city in Uzbekistan.
