Guatemala team confirms new friendly in the United States
This Monday, April 29, the Guatemala Soccer Federation shared that it will face its counterpart from El Salvador in Carson, California.

This Monday, April 29, the National Soccer Federation of Guatemala confirmed that it will play a friendly match in Carson, California, United States once morest the El Salvador National Team in a preparation duel following his debut in the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers.
The duel once morest “la selecta” will be played on Saturday, July 27 at the Dignity Health Sports Park at 7:30 p.m. in Guatemala.
This match will be the third seventh match that the national team plays this year and for now it is the last one that the Guatemalan Soccer Team has confirmed.
In the four months of 2024, Guatemala has played three friendly matches so far and lost two: 0-1 once morest Iceland on January 13 and 2-0 once morest Ecuador on March 21, while adding a 0-0 draw. once morest Venezuela also in March.
The calendar shows that the next game for the blue and white will be May 26 once morest Nicaragua at the Pay Pal Park stadium in San José, California.
If the Soccer Federation does not confirm any more games in the coming weeks, the duel once morest Nicaragua will be the last one before the debut of the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers.
The first match towards the 2026 World Cup will be on June 5 once morest Dominica and three days later, on the 8th, Guatemala will visit the British Virgin Islands.
Then, on the 14th of the same month, the bicolor will play once morest Lionel Messi’s Argentina at FedExField in Landover, Maryland.
Later, the newly confirmed match once morest El Salvador would arrive on Saturday, July 27.
