Guatemala comes back and wins its last match in the Under 18 soccer tournament held in Türkiye

The Guatemala Under 18 National Team concluded its participation in the Uefa Friendship Tournament that was held in Antalya, Turkey.

After eight days of competition in the city of Antalya, Turkey, the Guatemala Under 18 Team that participated in the Uefa Friendship Tournament, a friendly soccer championship, finished in fifth position.

This result came after the blue and white team led by Mexican coach Marvin Cabrera achieved a 4-2 comeback against Saudi Arabia in their last match held in the early hours of this Tuesday, April 30.

Thanks to the result, Guatemala ends with a balance of one victory in regular time (Arabia), one on penalties (Ecuador) and two defeats (Slovakia and Morocco).

With the Uefa Friendship Tournament in Turkey over, Marvin Cabrera and his pupils will head back to Guatemala and in the coming weeks the coach will continue developing the necessary strategy for the Concacaf Sub 20 World Cup which will take place in Mexico between July and August 2024.

The World Cup, which will be played in the cities of Celaya and Irapuato at the Guanajuato stadium, Mexicowill determine the four teams that qualify for the 2025 Fifa World Cup.
