Guardiola invites Gundogan and his wife to dinner, otherwise he will be excluded from the squad

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola joked that Ilkay Gundogan would exclude him from the Premier League squad until the end of the season following the midfielder’s wife complained that there were no good places to eat in Manchester.

Italian Sarah Arfaoui, the player’s wife, made headlines in England’s newspapers following writing on Instagram that she had failed to find a good restaurant in Manchester, and that “the food is horrible everywhere.”

Arfaoui’s comments appeared on the front page of the popular newspaper, The Sun, and the local Manchester Evening News published the anger of some restaurant owners, and some wondered regarding the places where Gundogan’s wife had gone.

Guadiola, the owner of a restaurant in the city, was asked on Friday regarding his reaction during the press conference for City’s match at home to Southampton on Saturday.

“I’m disappointed that they didn’t try (the taste) of my restaurant,” the Spanish coach said with a laugh. This bothers me. Gendo will not participate any minute until the end of the season.

And he concluded: I will invite her and Gendo to go and taste, and of course they will eat food as it should be.
