“My dad, Mr. Gualberto Ibarreto, is currently in Intensive Care,” his daughter wrote on Instagram, Elena Ibarreto.
“I ask all my family, friends and followers to pray that God grants him the strength to continue with us,” he said.
“Let’s pray for my dad’s health,” he added.
Gualberto Ibarreto will be operated
The governor of the Monagas state, Ernesto Luna, reported, in conversation with Ernest Villegas, Minister of Culture of the government of Nicolás Maduro, that the Venezuelan singer has been in the Intensive Care Unit of a clinic in Maturín since last Monday. He has a complication due to previous pathologies, in addition to having just overcome covid-19.
“Gualberto Ibarreto is a diabetic patient and due to some complications he is going to undergo surgery in the next few hours,” he said.
“There was a medical board and the intervention was defined. Family members have already been spoken to,” she said.
“We are with faith and a lot of optimism,” he added.
They ruled out the transfer to Caracas due to the complexity of the case. “It is not convenient to make a transfer,” he warned.
