Asunción, IP Agency.- Teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) are working to recover the passability of local roads in various parts of the country. So far this week, the interventions covered four departments of the Eastern Region, which are: Guairá, Cordillera, Concepción and Ñeembucú.
In Guairá, the crews of District No. 4 mobilized a few days ago to fill and repair an undermining that occurred in the local road that connects the areas of Cerro Punta, 3rd Línea and San Miguel, in the city of Mauricio José Troche , widely used mainly for the transfer of agricultural production in the area.
For their part, Cordillera teams also repaired an undercut that appeared following the last rains; but this time it was in a sector of the shoulder of the route between Eusebio Ayala and Isla Pucú, 15 km from the urban center of that city.
Meanwhile, in the city of Altos, more than 15 km were outlined along the accesses to 2 companies where poultry, livestock production and medium-sized agriculture stand out, allowing these communities to reconnect with the national road network. .
In turn, in Concepción, the MOPC completed the platform profiling along 7 km of the road known as Calle 9, in the city of Horqueta.
Arduous tasks in Ñeembucú
On the other hand, in Ñeembucú continues this week the emergency repair with platform profiling works in the sections: Isla Umbú – Mayor Martínez, Villalbín – Desmochados, Desmochados – Islerias and crossing Costa Pucú – Islerias
The bathing and laying of pipes also proceeded in Ybycuí, district of General Díaz, in coordination with the Municipality and the Government of the XII department of the country.
The MOPC report states that unpaved roads represent 85% of our road network and that they are very important not only to mobilize local production, but also so that citizens can travel to urban centers or to have access to basic services. such as education and health.
