Municipal buses prescribe tips for healthier mobility in the city through the Guaguacetamol campaign
In the promotional action of the campaign, Municipal Buses distributes 3,000 packs of Guaguacetamol, which contain a voucher for two trips and basic advice to achieve a better quality of life
Guaguas Municipales launches its Guaguacetamol campaign, a unique initiative that tries to draw the attention of citizens to the wide range of benefits that regular use of public transport and sustainable modes of travel imply to achieve a better quality of life.
Guaguacetamol, simulating the packaging of a conventional medication, is presented in a pack that contains an imitation of the format of a leaflet that offers basic advice for both physical and mental health care, in line with the recommendations offered by the health authorities, where good habits for diet, hygiene or physical activity, among others, are encouraged.
In the promotional action, carried out this Tuesday in different parts of the municipality, Guaguas Municipales has distributed some 3,000 packs of Guaguacetamol, where, in addition to healthy suggestions, a courtesy bonus of two round trips has been included for that citizens can enjoy the experience of public transport for free.
This informative action of the municipal company is added to the promotion of healthy mobility, sponsored by the Mobility area of the Capital City Council, which seeks to make citizens aware of healthy alternatives for their daily journeys.
During these days, different Municipal Bus lines become promotional support for the campaign, which displays a battery of messages that try to build a better awareness of “intelligent mobility that moves health”.
“We try to generate positive impacts with initiatives such as Guaguacetamol that, in addition to giving us interesting advice on health habits, make us smile, as we have seen when people have received the packs and opened them with curiosity,” said the councilor of Mobility of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, José Eduardo Ramírez, who has been present during the distribution action carried out this Tuesday in the vicinity of the Central Market, on Galicia street.
“We like to talk regarding sustainable and healthy mobility, but also solidarity mobility, which is the one we practice when we decide to leave our private vehicle at home and opt for alternative forms, such as public transport, bicycle or walking, so that people who really need to use the private vehicle are in more fluid traffic. That choice, if we can make it, is in solidarity with the rest of the neighbors and on top of that it has a positive impact on our health”, Ramírez stressed.
The Guaguacetamol campaign, which is promoted under the slogan of “effective relief of mild or moderate congestion of mobility in the city”, is complemented by a video – which emulates a classic television advertisement for medicine – and graphic material that is broadcast through the channels (guaguas.com/guaguacetamol) and social networks of Municipal Guaguas.
