It’s game day for the Gwadaboys. It is even their entry into the running in the Gold Cup, this international competition which is the equivalent of the European Cup of Nations for the North America, Central America and Caribbean zone. And the men of Jocelyn Angloma find on their way the Canada in Group D; a team they had beaten in 2007 in the group stage. Will the Gwadaboys be able to repeat this feat.
For the selection of Guadeloupe it is the beginning of a Gold Cup campaign which they hope will be fruitful.
And her first match places her against the Canadian team.
After a few tormented days, she can field the desired team. As we know, just 48 hours ago, the Gwadaboys risked losing two important players, Jordan Tell and Mathias Phaéton, both playing in Grenoble who asked them to return in order to be present for the start of the preparation. But finally the players and the Guadeloupe football league decided to go all the way.
This is the first of three matches that the Guadeloupe Selection will have to play in order to qualify for the next round.
