GTA VI already made the subject of a big leak in March 2022 regarding its content. This time, the information would concern the likely release date of the game and the existence of DLC projects.
It is Tez2on GTAForumswhich tells us that the flagship title of Rockstar would come out much sooner than expected.
Leak hints at likely GTA VI release date and DLC plans
Ever since Rockstar announced the development of the next GTA, rumors surrounding the game have been rife. We even got the big leak of 2022, leading to legal action once morest the culprit. The information comes to us this time from a well-informed member of the Gran Theft Auto community, Tez2. According to him, the publisher would plan a release window for its flagship title during the end of the year holidays of 2024.
GTA 6: Microsoft discusses the release date of the Rockstar game
It also indicates that studio employees must “force back” into the premises. The objective would be to speed up production and present a finished product at this presumed deadline. It has indeed been 10 years this year that GTA V is already running on three generations of consoles and is starting to run out of steam. Tez2 warns, however, that we can have a postponement to have a release in early 2025.
An advanced launch, but?
Rockstar has not made any statement since the announcement of the development of the game. However, this is not the case with the community, which speculates on various rumors. We even recently had a statement from rapper 50 Cent regarding his involvement in the game, without expanding on the subject. Info or intox ? We do not know.
Tez2’s information, however, implies two major facts, in the event that his statements are confirmed. In the first case, players will be able to play GTA VI much earlier than expected. If we rely on Rockstar’s press releases, the title would not even be released before 2025 or 2026. So that’s good news.
The consequences will however be heavy, because the studio will crop a large part of the game. Tez2 has also included the presence of DLC project. We will therefore not have a complete game from the start, and of course, we will have to plan the cost of each extension. What is certain is that this new information divides the community.
