Rockstar Games announced a few weeks ago Grand Theft Auto 6 is already in development. It will be the next game in the open world franchise and will take advantage of the graphic power of the new generation consoles, Xbox Series X and PS5, to improve graphics and gameplay.
“With each new project, our goal is always to go far beyond what we have previously delivered. We are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.” detailed the company in its official statement.
Unfortunately, the announcement did not come with promotional images or videos, which has given rise to leaks and rumors in specialized forums. Recently, the medium GameSpot compiled several of the rumors that are gaining strength among the community.
GTA 6 Rumors
According to the aforementioned medium, Tom Henderson, a video game journalist, denied the claim that GTA 6 will be set in the 1980s. Rockstar Games would continue with the modern story that GTA 5 left us, but it would be located in Vice City.
The difference with the previous video game in the saga is that the model of three protagonists (Trevor, Michael and Franklin) will be abandoned so that the game has the first female protagonist.
For now, Rockstars Games remains totally silent regarding the content of the video game. We will have to be attentive to the company’s social networks to know more details of the launch.
