GTA 6 fans are convinced that microtransactions will ruin the online mode.

When Grand Theft Auto VI versions, it will feature an entirely new iteration of GTA Online, although fans are confident it will be structured around Shark Codes and subscription services.

It’s not a secret Grand Theft Auto V Online has been one of Rockstar Games’ biggest sources of revenue over the past few years, with two Take-Two Interactive executives taking home a combined total of $72,350,718 this year from its microtransactions alone.

While players have the option to play legitimately, planning and executing heists, playing missions, or working in the game’s business, Shark Cards are a fast-track option, allowing you to purchase the vehicles or properties of your choice with less time and work. It’s this “pay to win” stance that has led players to believe that GTA Online is actually one of the worst things Rockstar has ever done.

Now fans are convinced that Shark Cards will make a return in GTA VI iteration of Online, but I think this time will be even worse, perhaps even affecting the game’s single-player mode.

TheWidrolo posted a message on Reddit saying, “I hope GTA 6 Online doesn’t feel like a 9-5 job without buying shark cards… It would be nice if the next GTAO had jobs with better payouts and heists that don’t feel like a chore.

Fans aren’t too optimistic, with some thinking it will be exactly the same as GTA V, and others thinking it will be even worse, especially since the introduction of the GTA+ subscription service.

“It will definitely be the same as GTAO in terms of microtransactions”

“GTAO always felt like a second job, I hope they change that”

“I don’t want to sound too negative, but I think this time it will be even more focused on microtransactions and getting people to buy Shark cards and subscribe to GTA+.

“I highly doubt the next GTA Online will be enjoyable without investing real money. »

We still don’t know when Grand Theft Auto VI will be released, but when it does, it will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and eventually PC.
