After having achieved a record turnover of 176 million euros, Grupo Visalia closed the 2021 financial year with a 117% increase over the previous year. In addition, the firm registered a 23% increase in its total number of clients from the end of 2020 to the same time in 2021 and, in turn, a gross operating profit of 8.6 million euros
The sustained growth of Grupo Visalia
The numbers mentioned above are given following a complex moment for companies in the energy sector, not only due to the health crisis as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but also due to the energy crisis that began in 2021 following the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Despite this international context, Grupo Visalia explains that the company has managed to maintain a growth trend, not only in the number of clients but also in business volume. In addition, it has grown in profits, protecting the dividend of its shareholders and generating greater confidence in them. It is thanks to this situation, the stability achieved in terms of the client portfolio and strategic incorporations such as Syder that, according to Grupo Visalia, its growth and good profitability are assured for the coming years.
According to the CEO of Grupo Visalia, Pablo Abejas: “In an environment as complex as the year 2021, which began immersed in a health crisis and continued with an energy crisis, we have managed to maintain a growth trend, both in customers and volume of business, as in profits, protecting the dividend of its shareholders But most importantly, we are on the right path to provide energy solutions demanded by citizens and SMEs and lead Spain to lead the energy challenge in urban centers, converting cities in renewable energy sources, the only possible future”.
A key role towards the energy transition
Grupo Visalia is currently the main reference in the energy transition process in Spain. It currently has power suppliers such as Visalia Energía and Watium, as well as other electricity generation companies using renewable sources such as Visalia Renovables and Visalia Solar. It is by fulfilling this key role that the group, currently the country’s leading group, shows exponential growth, such as 117% higher turnover than the previous year, reaching 176 million euros.
With regard to growth in customers, this drives Grupo Visalia to become a benchmark among the new energy operators in the sector, allowing citizens, small businesses and also neighboring communities to have energy empowerment to generate their own energy. This acquires special relevance in a context that is being marked by historical maximums in the costs of electricity throughout the European continent, as well as at a time when governments, and in particular the Spanish Government, are developing new savings plans and are promoting the development of renewable energies.
