UT Health San Antonio and UTSA announced the official opening of the first recognized program in the US that combines medicine and artificial intelligence.
The five-year dual-degree program will combine a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence.
The universities say the program will allow doctors in San Antonio to learn the practical use of AI in diagnostic and treatment outcomes.
Interested students must first be admitted to the UT Health Long School of Medicine and complete one year of medical studies before applying for dual enrollment.
