Groundation reggae in force on the Florida stage

“If the Ricans weren’t there”, as Michel Sardou would say, we wouldn’t listen to reggae in Agen. But fortunately for lovers of the Jamaican genre, the Groundation tour passes through the capital of Lot-et-Garonne and its Florida. What might be more natural for Americans then?

The formation of the bearded singer-guitarist Harrisson Stafford arrives to push his tenth studio album One Rock, a flagship title where we find the fabulous Congos featuring and a heartbreaking guitar solo. It is moreover one of Groundation’s original brands, to share its tracks with luminaries of world reggae: Pablo Moses, Israel Vibrations, Apple Gabriel, The Abyssinians, Don Carlos… Often by associating them elsewhere. We will remember the slap that was the exit of the brilliant Hebron Gate

Groundation is first and foremost roots reggae in its simplest form, held together by a solid rhythm, a keyboard with sometimes jazzy melodies and an unmistakably recognizable leader’s voice. A brass section completes the ensemble that will perform this Wednesday with the Franco-Comorians of Eliasse opening.
