Vienna (OTS) The Viennese builder and project developer Grossmann + Kaswurm Immobilien is currently revitalizing an apartment building on Jörgerstrasse in Hernals. As part of its art series “Art in Construction”, the company is making the fire wall available as an oversized canvas by the Viennese illustration artist Nadine Werjant.

Abstract shapes and impressive colors: An extraordinary work of art adorns the fire wall of an apartment building on Jörgerstrasse in Vienna’s 17th district. The Viennese artist Nadine Werjant transformed the previously sparse wall into an oversized and colorful painting showing her favorite subject: women.

This was made possible by the builder and project developer Grossmann + Kaswurm Immobilien. The apartment building on Jörgerstrasse is currently being extensively renovated by the company. Instead of using the existing firewall for , the company has thought of something more sustainable.

As part of our art series, we repeatedly make construction sites and, in the meantime, facade areas available to different artists. Our goal is to beautify the cityscape in the long term – and not just with stylishly renovated apartment buildings, but also with impressive works of art“, says Peter Kaswurm, founder and managing director of Grossmann + Kaswurm Immobilien. In the past, a picture by the Lower Austrian artist Philipp Mürling adorned the scaffolding of the project. The winning picture of a painting competition at a Viennese creative elementary school might also be seen on the real estate developer’s construction site.

The company wants to emphasize the values ​​it stands for with the art series “Art in Construction”. This includes creativity, passion and also authenticity. “The artist Nadine Werjant manages to tell special stories with graphic elements and to transform images into landscapes. We are pleased that this plant is also enjoying a lot of interest in the area‘” adds Kaswurm.

Illustrator Werjant took up cubist elements in the art project on Jörgerstraße and worked with abstract images. Most recently, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the native of Vienna designed her largest work to date with an area of ​​almost 400 m² at Vienna’s Praterstern for ÖBB. She is a member of IllustrationLadies Vienna – a creative network for professional illustrators with the aim of supporting women and creating visibility. In addition, she is particularly committed to the issue of gender identity in order to raise awareness, promote dialogue and contribute to a more tolerant society.
