The most recent project of Kimetsu no Yaiba seems to have caused some fans to call it a scam as they use social media to express their disgust at Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Villagewhich was recently released in theaters.
A worrying number of fans of the franchise have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration over this special film, which was recently released in the United States. Users felt misled by the movie’s , stating that they believed it would be a full content movie, only to find out that it was a compilation of the last two episodes of the “Red Light District Arc” and the first of the “Blacksmiths Village Arch“.
Furious fans claimed they felt compelled to pay full price for two recap episodes and just a small glimpse into the show’s next season. One user even pointed out the use of the opening and ending, and considered it an effort to “extend time.” Many also tried to warn others regarding going to the cinema to see the project, with one user even calling it a “disgusting scam and waste of time“.

Ufotablethe animation studio behind the series, has released feature film projects for the franchise before, such as Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen. However, the promoters never promised that “To The Swordsmith Village” was an original film. Instead, it was always intended to recap the end of the “Red Light District Arc” and serve as the debut for the series’ third season premiere.

So no, it’s not a scam. They are just people feeding the stereotype that the American citizen is unfortunately a bit of a dork in general. In this case for not having even bothered to read a synopsis.
