Grendizer returns to Riyadh after an absence of 40 years

The global “Grindizer” personality was beautifully shown on the Boulevard screens in the city of Riyadh, to the great astonishment of the audience and visitors, which inspired many generations for more than 40 years from the Arab and international audience.

Whereas, Manga Production Company of the Mohammed bin Salman Corporation (Misk) announced the launch of a new project for Grendizer under the name PROJECT G, with a number of Japanese global partners, including Dynamic Planning, which owns the rights to “Grendizer”.

Manga Productions revealed that the public and Arab and international talents will have the opportunity to contribute to this partnership, as Manga Productions will launch a global competition to design a robotic vehicle inspired by the hostile spacecraft known as “UFO” from the world of Grendizer, with the possibility of using it in the new project, making it a unique experience at the level of Japanese production, in addition to giving her a chance to win a cash prize for the first three winners.

Dr. Issam Bukhari, CEO of Manga Productions, said that they are pleased to announce this unprecedented partnership with Japan regarding the ancient character “Grendizer”, especially since “Manga” has previous and successful experiences in co-production, which culminated in the trust of third parties, and recorded multiple successes. It was welcomed by the Arab and international audience.

It is worth noting that the science fiction series “Grendizer” was launched on October 5, 1975, and lasted for 74 episodes. The series was shown in the early eighties on Arab television stations and met with tremendous success in the Arab world in terms of views.

Dubbing is one of the most important reasons for the success of the Arabic version, as the able artist Jihad Al-Atrash played the role of “Diskey”. All “Grendizer” special projects were discontinued following being shown in Japan and the Arab world.
