Greenpeace considers mining companies to be the cause of fish deaths on the Oder – World Chronicle

Warsaw/Berlin – Greenpeace believes two coal and mining companies are responsible for the mass deaths of fish in the Oder river in Germany last summer. A German-Polish team from the organization took 57 water samples from three tributaries to the Oder and six tributaries to the Vistula. The environmentalists are now assuming that wastewater from the mining industry was the trigger for the fish kill in the German-Polish border river.
