A diverse program aims to raise awareness of resource conservation and climate change
Vienna (OTS) – For a whole month, the real estate developer 3SI Immogroup is focusing on the topic of sustainability. In addition to employee training and events, opinion surveys and an industry talk with experts from various disciplines, the family business is primarily concerned with one thing: raising awareness and addressing the importance of resource conservation and sustainability for the entire construction and real estate industry.
„I see the coming weeks of the 3SI Sustainability Month as a very good opportunity for our employees, and indeed our industry, to engage more intensively, individually, with the topics of climate change, sustainability and the environment
says Michael Schmidt, Managing Director of 3SI Immogroup. The range of events at 3SI is deliberately diverse – in addition to various workshops, tours of recycling plants and manure collection activities are offered.
„As a property developer and real estate developer, we specialize in the revitalization and conversion – keyword district heating, heat pumps and insulation – of existing old buildings, but in recent years we have also developed numerous projects in the new building segment. We are currently building the new building THE LIBERTY at Am Freihof, which is ÖGNI Gold-certified for its sustainable construction and lifelong use
“, says Schmidt, describing his company’s core business.
The construction industry is currently undergoing change. Not only are environmental and sustainability aspects increasingly leading to a rethink in the construction and design of living space, customers are also increasingly demanding “green” properties. “The responsible use of existing resources is more essential than ever. As Viennese property developers and developers, we are more than aware of our responsibility and want to express this accordingly, including through the Sustainability Month that has now been initiated
“, emphasizes the real estate developer.
Mood pictures
An internal survey will determine what 3SI Immogroup itself as an employer can do better in the long term in terms of sustainability. “I’m already looking forward to the submissions from the employees. I will do my utmost to implement all ideas and suggestions that can be submitted from October 1st into our everyday office and work life
“, emphasizes Schmidt.
In addition to the internal survey, an external survey entitled “Sustainability in the real estate industry” will also be carried out in October 2023. “We would like to know how important sustainability aspects in residential construction actually are to owners and tenants in Austria. What would the perfect “green” property have to look like and what should it provide? What do you want from local property developers and developers when it comes to living space? As Viennese property developers and real estate developers, we ask all of these questions for one reason: We want to get better!
“, confirms Schmidt.
Event industry talk “Sustainable Building” on October 23rd
On the morning of October 23rd, 3SI Immogroup is also inviting experts to an “industry talk” at the House of Engineers. In two exciting and informative panel discussions, DI Inge Schrattenecker, DI Dr. Tobias Steiner, Robert Lechner, Markus Neumayer, architect DI Andreas Hawlik as well as representatives from science and research on sustainability aspects in the real estate industry, currently feasible construction measures in the areas of renovation, expansion and conversion and visions for the green future of real estate development.
„As soon as we have used this campaign to create a more conscious approach to dealing with the resources that are only available to us, which are only limited to us, we have won
“, says Schmidt hopefully.
