Green Lower Austria elect Simone Jagl to the Bundesrat

After the state elections, an extraordinary state congress under the motto “Federal Council – we are coming!” in St. Pölten

St. Polten (OTS) After a successful performance in the state elections, the Greens of Lower Austria decided on the election of their representatives in the Federal Council at an extraordinary state congress in St. Pölten under the motto “Bundesrat – we are coming!”.

On the agenda of the congress was the presentation of the new state parliament club with the four members Helga Krismer, Georg Ecker, Silvia Moser and Dominic Hörlezeder as well as the election to the Federal Council. The members of the Bundesrat are elected by the state parliaments of the individual federal states and represent the interests of their states at national level. There were numerous applicants for the Bundesrat mandate, but the majority of the delegates present voted Simone Jagl to the Federal Council. Simone Jagl, early childhood educator, who ran for fifth place on the state list for the state elections and works as the managing municipal councilor in Biedermannsdorf (Mödling district), will now take on this mandate at federal level.

Additionally became Fabian Schindelegger from St. Pölten, administrative employee who ran for sixth place on the state list for the state elections, by the delegates as alternate member chosen.

After the state congress, the new green club invited to a reception in view of the club’s strength.
