One and a half weeks before the start of the 2024 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers have once again added depth to the quarterback position. General Manager Brian Gutekunst acquired Malik Willis from the Tennessee Titans via trade.
In return, the Packers gave up a seventh-round pick in the upcoming 2025 draft. Willis is now battling with Michael Pratt (seventh-round pick in 2024) and Sean Clifford (fifth-round pick in 2023) for the role behind top quarterback Jordan Love.
Willis, 25 years old, joined the Tennessee Titans in 2022 as a third-round pick, but never convinced those in charge in Nashville. In a total of eleven appearances in two seasons, three of them as a starter, Willis only had a completion percentage of 53 percent. In addition, he did not throw a single touchdown pass, but did throw three interceptions. At least he managed one rushing touchdown.
It’s a 2025 7th rounder for Malik Willis. https://t.co/RpcPZuJB8Y
