HOUSTON (AP) — Jalen Green scored 25 points, Alperen Sengun added 21 and grabbed 14 rebounds, and the Houston Rockets beat the struggling Denver Nuggets 105-86 on Friday in the NBA’s In-Season Championship.
Houston improved to 2-1 in the tournament with one game remaining, scheduled for next week in Dallas. Denver completed the group stage with a 2-2 record.
The Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, have lost five of seven games following opening the season with an 8-1 record. The In-Season is part of the regular campaign.
Nikola Jokic had a season-high 38 points, while grabbing 19 rebounds and eight assists for Denver. Aaron Gordon missed his 12 field goals and was limited to two points, on a night when the Nuggets made just 33.7% of their shots.
The Rockets have won three games in a row once morest the Nuggets, including both of their games this season, following losing the previous 10.
