Colombia

This Sunday, October 29, Colombians will go to the polls throughout the country to elect governors, mayors, councilors and councilors for the period 2023-2027.

For the Green Alliance this is an opportunity to make the population aware of the work it has done throughout its history, but especially the projects and ideas that underpin its political and social vision of the country.

At the basis of its vision for the country, the Green Party fights, among other things, for women’s rights, access and quality of education, the dignity of farmers, equity and the environment.

This is how before the Congress of the Republic and from each of the public positions it has achieved, the party works to guarantee the rights of all Colombians.

By the way, and as its name mentions, the Green Alliance has as its banner the care of the environmentthus generating initiatives that seek to prohibit Fracking, reduce emissions from gasoline engines and guarantee access to water for the entire population as a fundamental and constitutional right.

And caring for the environment is closely linked to the protection and recognition of the rights of peasant communities. To do this, his draft legislative act wants to change article 64 of the Political Constitution.

Likewise, access and quality of education for boys, girls and young people has taken on great importance in the Green Alliance. This is why one of its main projects is to have a Comprehensive PAE with clear guidelines that guarantee school feeding.

Likewise, for higher education they have a project that seeks to eliminate professional cards in the country, an expensive document that imposes a barrier for recent university graduates.

Another of the party’s great struggles is the protection of Women rights. Four bills stand out there, which are: the prevention of sexual and digital harassment in work, educational or professional contexts, the eradication of political violence once morest women, the expansion of the Quota Law: which translates into guaranteeing the equal participation of women in the branches of the State and the regulation of sexual and reproductive rights.

To continue protecting the rights of all Colombians, this Sunday, October 29, vote for the Green Party lists throughout the country.
