Great success for Tim Prokop from Neuhofen

The young tennis player from USV Neuhofen is one of the greatest tennis talents of his year in Upper Austria. Prokop underlined this last weekend at the U10 national indoor championships in Wels. After a rather unexpected defeat in the group stage, the nine-year-old improved from game to game from the quarter-finals onwards. In the semi-finals, Prokop defeated Tobias Kogler (Bad Ischl) in two sets. In the final there was an Innviertel duel between Prokop and Leon Wighart from Neukirchen an der Enknach. In a game at a high level, Prokop had the upper hand with 4:1 and 4:1.

“I’m really happy regarding winning the tournament. I’ve improved from game to game,” said the newly crowned national champion following the final.
