Only a few hours left before the official presentation of the X90s in China. The opportunity for Vivo to say more regarding its new smartphone. We now know which processor will drive it and which main photo sensor it will rely on.
Vivo recently confirmed an important part of the technical sheet of its future X90 range, the official presentation of which is scheduled for November 22 in China. Vivo’s new flagship, which is to be available in “classic”, Pro and Pro+ versions, will notably be equipped, in its basic version, with the all-new Dimensity 9200. This high-end chip unveiled in early November by the Taiwanese MediaTek is cut to compete with the new Qualcomm Snapdaragon 8 Gen 2 presented on his side a few days ago.
As it happens, the rumors and other leaks had turned out to be pretty accurate when it comes to the Vivo X90. A benchmark from GeekBench had for example flashed the device with a Dimensity 9200 on board, coupled with 12 GB of RAM and Android 13. This configuration is therefore well on the way to being formalized, but the Pro and Pro + versions of the X90 might be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 respectively, underlines GSMArena.
A high-end photo sensor from Sony
For the rest, we now know that the Sony IMX758 and its 50 Mpx will also serve the X90 range. Vivo, however, did not see fit to reveal the rest of the photo specifications of its next smartphone in advance. Some visuals presented nevertheless allow us to see a total of four rear sensors, and what appears to be a periscope module (to offer a significant optical zoom). However, it seems that this module is reserved for the Pro and Pro+ models.
Vivo has finally indicated that its X90s might rely on photo algorithms developed in partnership with Zeiss and on the new ISP Vivo V2 chip, also presented at the beginning of November.

The Vivo X90 will finally be available in three colors: red, black and “glacier” blue. We also know that the red and black versions will be eligible for rear leatherette coverings. More details expected in a few hours.
