Great performance in Austria by four people from Neuquén in the Trail World Championship

In Innsbruck, Austria, the Mountain and Trail World Championship was inaugurated last Tuesday, which has a large Argentine delegation and will continue until tomorrow. More than 1,100 runners from 68 countries attend.

The championship features landscapes with a variety of beautiful views, as well as courses that are challenging, iconic and definitely worthy of a world championship.

The Neuquén athlete, who a few years ago began to dabble in Trail Running, disputes its second mountain world championship with an outstanding participation. Tomorrow he will participate in the Classic Trail.

Carriqueo was the best Argentine and South American classified in the Vertical Race test, with which the World Cup began. The competition had a circuit of 7 kilometers and 1,000 meters of positive altitude, and 130 runners from all over the world participated.

The classification of the Argentines was the following:

– In the male category, Javier Carriqueo was ranked 43rd with a time of 47:23, Juani Redolatti in 63rd place with 48:54, Ezequiel Becerra in 90th place with 52:06 and Kevin Duré in 95th place with 52:33.

– In the women’s category, Chiara Mainetti ranked 48th with a time of 57:02, Camila Cioffi ranked 52nd and Sol Andreucetti ranked 77th with a time of 1:03:22.

The winners of this test were the Kenyan Patrick Kipgeno and the Austrian Andrea Mayr.

The Zapalino athlete Rebolledo, will play the U20 test tomorrow.

The Classic and U20 will take place tomorrow starting at 5 am with the participation of athletes from Neuquén. Javier Carriqueo will participate in the Trail Classic test, which has a distance of 15 kilometers and a drop of 724 meters.

Diego Rebolledo, a Zapalino athlete from the Argentine Trail Team, will be taking part in the U20 test tomorrow starting at 5 am Argentine time. The circuit of the U20 test has 7.5 kilometers and a positive difference of 347 meters.

Florencia Iuorno ranked as the second best Argentine in the Trail Short competition, with a distance of 45 kilometers and an accumulated positive difference of 3,135 meters. He came in 70th place with a time of 6:22:50. The race was held under heavy rain that complicated the final part of the route.

-Short Trail: Joaquin Narvaez, Diego Simon, Hugo Rodriguez, Gaston Cambareri, Ezequiel Pauluzak, Paula Galindez, Tamara Lopez, Florence Iuorno, Maria Ines Chrestia and Maria de los Angeles Pereyra.
