More than 830 students of all educational levels from 22 schools visited the Old Slaughterhouses multipurpose hall in March, actively participating in the educational programs-creative carnival workshops of KEDIP-Patra Carnival.
The March visits were made by: 1st Primary School of Obrias, 15th Kindergarten, 1st Kindergarten of Paralia, 45th Primary School, Special School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Patras, Special Primary School for Autism, KEFIAP (PWD), 58th Kindergarten, Drepano Primary School, Kallithea Primary School , DIEK Patras, KDAP-MEA Abed Hasman, Saravali High School, 2nd Kindergarten, Kotroni Educational Schools, Midiloglio Primary School, Chalandritsa Primary School, 48th Kindergarten, Lakkopetra Primary School, Agios Vassiliou Kindergarten, Renaissance and Standard EPAL Amaliada Schools, who participated in the educational programs “Mask”, “Hat”, “Masquerade Collage” and “Carnival Performances Window”.
The students watched educational videos regarding the Carnival or regarding Karagiozis and the Shadow Theater. They visited the poster exhibition of the Patrinos Carnival, the exhibition with sketches by Andreas Angelopoulos and the construction exhibition of the Hidden Treasure. They made masks using the traditional papermaking technique. Especially the students of the Model EPAL of Amaliada and the DIEK of Patras were guided around the premises of the Old Slaughterhouses, they visited the Poster exhibitions of the Patrinos Carnival, with sketches by Andreas Angelopoulos, constructions of the Hidden Treasure and watched presentations and videos regarding the operation of a cultural multi-purpose hall.
