Saudi Arabia has introduced a free bus service for Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan, with more than 800 buses plying between Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah.
According to Al-Arabiya News, the kingdom has restored bus service to transport pilgrims between Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah during the holy month of Ramadan. These high-tech buses are very comfortable and safe.
President of the General Syndicate of Cars, Osama Samkri, has said in a statement that the General Syndicate of Automobiles in Makkah is providing excellent transport services to pilgrims. 3,000 buses with high seating capacity have been operated to connect the residential areas to the nearest stations of Masjid-ul-Haram.
He said that a committee formed by all government, security and service agencies organizes the operation of transporting pilgrims and worshipers between Masjid al-Haram and their residences. It has taken the initiative to provide transportation service from International Airport to Masjid Al Haram.
Osama Samkari also pointed out that this service is free, this service has been started with the support of many government agencies to facilitate Zeofur Rahman, it is the first of its kind service as it can be taken from the plane. Kar provides transportation to Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah, which is available for those booking Umrah through the “Nasak” or “Tawkalna” application and those arriving from outside Saudi Arabia without an Umrah visa.
He said that during Ramadan, 13 buses run from Jeddah Airport to Makkah every day, from 10 am to 10 pm every hour, one bus departs from Jeddah to Makkah, similarly from Makkah to Jeddah. There are 12 buses plying every day, one every hour from 11 am to 11 pm.
