Schengen visa crisis: End of the crisis
This is undoubtedly the end of the Morocco-France crisis concerning the granting of Schengen visas. The head of French diplomacy announced it on Friday during her visit official in Morocco.
“We have taken the measures, with our partners moroccans, to restore a consular relationship “in the migratory field”, assured Catherine Colonna, during a press conference with her counterpart Nasser Bourita. “This cooperation has been effective since last Monday,” she said, according to AFP.
Catherine Colonna arrived in Rabat on Thursday to prepare for the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron, scheduled for early 2023.
The Minister met Nasser Bourita, with whom she was to discuss “all the dimensions of the exceptional bilateral partnership between Morocco and France”, according to the Quai d’Orsay.
