The Polyphonic Conservatory is holding a new concert in the context of Holy Week.
This time, the School of Solitude of the Conservatory, class of Irini Karagiannis, will present the famous work of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, “STABAT MATER”, a composition for soprano and alto, with piano accompaniment.
The parts of the project:
• Stabat Mater Dolorosa (soprano-alto)-grave
• Whose soul begets (soprano) – walking in love
• Oh how sad and afflicted (soprano-alto)-largetto
• Which mourned (alto)-allegro
• Who is the man (soprano-alto)-largo
• He saw his sweet born (soprano) – at the right time
• Eja mater fons amoris –andantino
• Make my heart burn – I rejoice
• Sancta Mater, istud agas (soprano-alto)-at the right time
• Make the gate (high)-wide
• Inflamed and ignited (soprano-alto) – allegro
• When the body will die.
The students of the School will perform: Konstantina Bri, soprano and Marilena Nisidis, alto. The pianist, Olena Fedko, will play the piano.
The concert will take place on Holy Monday at 9 pm, in the concert hall of the Polyphonic Organization, “Tolis Nomikos”. Entry for the public free.
