In the 1970s, Marek Sikora starred in the popular series “Szaleństwo Majki Skowron”. He played Ariel, one of the main characters. The then 17-year-old actor did not expect the fame this role would bring him. The handsome teenager quickly won the hearts of his peers, who showered him with letters and declarations of love. In 1984, he met Grażyna Wolszczak, who was then a novice actress. However, the star recalled that at first, there was no spark.

I thought he was far too pretty and I was far too ugly. I didn’t wear off-the-shoulder blouses because I was ashamed of my bony arms. My nose was a source of torment!

– she recalled in “Rewia”. The acquaintance slowly turned into love and in 1986 the lovers stood before the altar. Three years later their son, Filip, was born. The actress admitted that she noticed women’s interest in her husband, but she was never jealous of him. “My husband was a beautiful man. I often saw jealous women’s eyes staring at me. However, I never had a shadow of a worry that Marek would cheat on me. And I would forgive him for cheating anyway” – she said in the aforementioned interview.

Despite his popularity, Marek Sikora did not dream of acting. His beloved Wolszczak graduated from directing studies and began working for the Television Theatre. However, in the early 1990s, he was suddenly fired. This was a serious blow to him. However, the real tragedy did not happen until 1996. During a trip to his parents living in Busko-Zdrój, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, as a result of which he died. The actress was left alone with a seven-year-old son. After a few years, she got together with Cezary Harasimowicz. However, she did not forget about her deceased husband. “Marek is somehow present in our home. We do not avoid talking about him. Filip often says that when dad was alive, he did this or that. My son is very similar to his dad, the same eyes, the same abstract, rather black sense of humor that Marek was famous for,” she said in “Na żywo”.
