Graz driver raced at 220 km/h on the A2 in eastern Styria: driving licence revoked

The 20-year-old was noticed by a patrol from the state traffic department. When they followed him, the speed limit was measured. The young man’s driver’s license has now been confiscated. The car could not be confiscated because the driver is not the registered owner.

The speeder was spotted by a police patrol on the A2 at around 10:30 p.m. as he drove towards Graz. The officers pursued the car, and the speed was determined using calibrated video surveillance. The driver was stopped at the Ilz junction. He admitted to speeding, but justified himself by saying that he had forgotten something at home and wanted to drive back to Graz quickly. He will be reported.
