The Baltimore Orioles announced Wednesday the promotion of their top pitching prospect, Grayson Rodríguez, who will receive the opportunity to pitch in the MLB to the detriment of Kyle Bradish and his inclusion on the 15-day disabled list.
Rodríguez is one of the most promising pitchers in the Major Leagues, being considered the seventh best prospect in the league and second among pitchers, only surpassed in scouting reports by Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Andrew Painter.

Rodríguez was unable to show his full potential in Spring Training, leaving a 7.05 ERA in 15.1 innings of work, while in his only start in Triple A in 2023 he allowed three runs (two earned) and four hits in four innings of work.
In 2022, the right-hander left a 2.62 earned run average allowed in 75.1 innings of work in 17 starts in Class A Strong, Double A and Triple A, an instance in which he left a 2.20 ERA in 14 outings.
Rodríguez will join the Orioles this Wednesday and the plan is for him to make a start to return to the minors to continue his development. This is the beginning of a promising career.
