The fish farmer, a 51-year-old from the Innviertel, stood up for his crime at the hearing before the regional court in Ried im Innkreis on Friday. Because it came to a solution with a diversion, the man was spared a criminal record, but he had to pay the fine of 1,000 euros within five days, reports ORF Upper Austria. The convict accepted the sentence immediately, and the public prosecutor’s office also refrained from further appeals. The judgment is therefore final.
