Grants that start at 13,500 euros and reach up to 240,000, will have the opportunity for a few more days for small and medium-sized businesses to claim.

These amounts are intended for the implementation of investment projects in the field of tourism and not only.

Another action to support new small and medium enterprises, which are active in other sectors of the economy, remains “active”. The potential beneficiaries also in this case have the right to receive corresponding amounts.

In particular, the deadline for submitting funding applications to the actions “Strengthening the establishment and operation of new small and medium enterprises” and “Strengthening the establishment and operation of new tourism small and medium enterprises”of the NSRF “Competitiveness” Program 2021-2027, expires on March 22, 2024.

Who are the beneficiaries of the aid programs?

Through two different programs start-ups can secure free government money to cover part of the costs they incur to implement their investment plans.

In particular, these are the following actions:

  • “Strengthening the establishment and operation of new small and medium-sized tourism businesses”, with a total public expenditure of one hundred and sixty million euros (160,000,000 euros). Beneficiaries are start-ups and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the terms and conditions set out in the detailed call. Within the framework of the Call, funding applications of an amount (subsidized budget) from 80,000 euros to 400,000 euros are supported. The percentage of public funding is up to 45% of the budget of the funding application. The aid rate may be increased by 10% if the investment is carried out in a remote or earthquake-affected or fire-affected or flood-affected area or small islands and by an additional 5% with the declaration during the submission of the funding application of a goal of employment of at least 0.2 EME, in the first year following the investment is completed.
  • “Strengthening the establishment and operation of new small and medium enterprises”, with a total public expenditure of one hundred and ninety million euros (190,000,000 euros). Beneficiaries are start-ups and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the terms and conditions set out in the detailed call. Within the framework of the Call, funding applications of an amount (subsidized budget) from 30,000 to 400,000 euros are supported. The grant will amount to 45% of the submitted costs. The aid rate may be increased by 10% if the investment is made in a remote or earthquake-affected area or a flood-prone area or small islands. And an additional 5% with the declaration during the submission of the financing application of the goal of employing at least one EME, in the first year following the completion of the investment.

Application deadline and procedure

The deadline for the electronic submission of funding applications to the Integrated State Aid Information System (ISIS) ends on March 22. Applications that are not submitted online cannot receive aid.

After the end of the date and time for the online submission of Funding Applications, no application submissions will be accepted.
